Chinchero
Located 30 km from Cusco at 3,762 m, Chinchero is known as the “Rainbow Village”. This former Inca and colonial center features agricultural terraces, Inca ruins, and a 17th-century colonial church built on Inca foundations. You will also learn about traditional Andean weaving and natural dyeing techniques.

Moray
Continuation to Moray, an extraordinary Inca agricultural research center. Its circular terraces functioned as an experimental laboratory, allowing the Incas to adapt crops to different microclimates.

Maras Salt Mines
Visit the famous Maras salt mines, made up of over 3,000 salt ponds, fed by a natural underground hypersaline spring formed around 110 million years ago. Traditional salt extraction methods are still used today.

After a break and a buffet lunch, we continue with a 30-minute drive.

Ollantaytambo
Known as the “Temple of the Llama”, Ollantaytambo is one of the last inhabited Inca towns. You will explore its remarkable archaeological complex, including terraces, temples, and sacred enclosures such as the Temple of the Sun.

In the afternoon, board the train at 4:36 p.m. to Aguas Calientes.
Hotel arrival included (dinner not included).
In the evening, a briefing meeting with the guide will prepare you for the Machu Picchu visit the following day.

After breakfast, departure by tourist shuttle (approximately 30 minutes) to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, with a scheduled entrance at 8:00 a.m. – Circuit 2, one of the most complete routes of the site.

You will be accompanied by a professional official guide for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, discovering this 15th-century Inca citadel, rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, lush forests, and sacred rivers, Machu Picchu stands as an extraordinary testament to Inca engineering, architecture, and spirituality.

During the visit, you will explore the site’s most iconic sectors:
the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Guardian’s House, the agricultural terraces, and the famous Intihuatana, the Inca solar clock.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore the site at your own pace and take photos.
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, with free time for lunch and exploration of the village.

At 2:30 p.m., board the tourist train to Ollantaytambo (approximately 1h40), followed by a tourist transfer to Cusco, with an estimated arrival around 7:00 p.m. at San Francisco Square
